Taking the L

About taking what you can from what you've got, and falling forwards.

Anyone on threads? Join me!

I remembered to write this week - monkey learn! (slowly)

I’m a bad guesser.

Last week, I launched my MVP - a simple swiping interface that lets you pick and choose what you want to post about.

The problem? Posting news articles is a bad way to boost engagement on Threads.

Not only does Threads actively discourage posting links (according to the CEO), it’s fundamentally a bad way to build personal authority.

and so, I did it again. I built something no-one wanted.

You might be saying - “Ben, do you even know what you’re doing?”

And the answer is, no!

At least, not in the sense that I know the answer to the question “What is the most valuable product I can build?”

What I do know, however, is that I am figuring it out.

The process of taking a risk, of making mistakes and figuring out the answer, is a feature, not a bug.

Ultimately, we want to build something that actually helps people produce engaging content. So the test is simple. Post something written by WordRobin. If people like it, it worked.

If you’re also building, making mistakes, I want you to know that it’s meant to be this way. If everyone knew the answers, anyone could do it.

WordRobin’s New Direction

We are going more agentic.

I have rebuilt the entire logic of the writing process. From the analysis and topic generation, all the way down to the editing and posting flow.

This one actually feels good!

I’ve already scheduled one of the posts it generated…

What’s next?

Falling is a part of the journey 🙂 We’ll build something that works eventually. If you also happen to use threads, shoot me a message! I’d love to chat.

Keep going,

Ben
