How to Choose.
In an unlimited world, how do we decide?

I was a chubby kid growing up.
Part of it was that I didn’t really “get” sports, but really it was because I LOVED my food.
Every time someone offered me food, I would take it.
If they gave me a choice - I took both.
And if I’m being honest, not much has changed.
I have a better handle on what I eat, but the greed still pokes it’s head around the corner whenever I need to make a choice.
It’s just that the choices apply to business, not food.
With WordRobin, the question was - do I build for Newsletters? Blogs? Twitter? Threads? Linkedin?
I wanted all of them.
But if I did that, I probably would still be building, still looking for my first paid user.
Why this happens.
Human beings run on intuition.
Intuition helps us navigate the world - it helps us make thousands of decisions that shape our day.
If you’re reading this right now, you probably don’t really remember what made you click on this newsletter. But here you are anyways. You progressed through your day without having to think about what you’re doing.
Intuition saves us time.
It helps us save our precious attention for the things that really matter.
But the problem with intuition is that it FEELS right.
You might intuitively want that second slice of cake. But if you really thought about it, you know it goes against your fitness goals for the year.
So it’s up to you to listen to what your mind tells you is correct, then completely ignore what it says.
It has to be a deliberate choice, because for whatever reason, your mind’s default response isn’t actually helpful for you to achieve your goals.
How to Ignore Intuition
I find that intuition can only be beaten with one thing - clarity.
The only way to do something despite how it feels, is to build up so much prood that you don’t have a choice.
In order to decide what to do, I need to decide what I REALLY want.
What problem am I solving? And how do I get to the solution faster?
If two things fight for the same resource, we need to find a way to pick one over the other.
For example, right now, my number one priority is growth.
I want to grow as an entrepreneur as quickly as possible.
This means I am willing to give up things like holidays, time off, or even eating out, so I can spend as much time and money as possible on growth.
It’s not forever, but it’s what I need to do right now.
So if you find yourself struggling with a choice - ask yourself - what are the different goals that these two are working towards? And which one do I want more?
What am I doing?
The app is basically ready!
I am just waiting for Apple’s support team to help me set up my account properly.
I’m also posting daily updates on X - so follow along for progress updates!

Korean support for swing path analysis
Hopefully I’ll be able to launch a few tests in the coming week 🙂
I also have some chats built up with founders from YC’s cofounder matching. They messaged me from the platform.
It seems that building up a product portfolio has helped me attract some talented founders.
Stay productive!
Ben
